The love between a daughter and father is forever…

Dearest Shikha, Remembering you is easy, I do it every day. Missing you is a heartache that will never go away. The death of my daughter is a subject that I talk about because there is nothing more tragic than losing a child to a man who I thought was a man of her dreams!

ACHRH foundation organized an event on International Women’s Day, 8th March 2015 at Spirt Of Indian, marked in remembrance of Deepshikha and Nikita, who fall victim to the family violence. Deepshikha’s father specially came from India to attend the event and pay homage to his daughter. Mr. Telmo Languiller, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly graced the event and was guest of honor. The event also put an emphasis on the inclusion of men in family violence debate.

The recommendations were formulated in the event to help close the gaps in services for people of South Asian Community, who are suffering from domestic violence. An evolution is formed on the basis of three case studies held during the event, which will be submitted to the Royal Commission into domestic violence.
